Hey People! I'm still on October Break, it's like a really long weekend. I have nothing better to do so I'm just working on my projects for school, I have 2 do next week. Bummer right? But I just finished all my other homework so I came on here. And HUZZAH!, again, for my first follower and hopefully not my last. I'm working on plugging up my digi-camera to the computer but it just doesn't seem to work. But I'll try again after I'm done with this. So... back to the story!
We started looking for a dog, we looked everywhere! But none of seemed perfect. Then we found Sophie. She's a Maltese-Yorkie, but she doesn't shed! It's sooo cool! Then a little while later we got internet hooked up, phone too. After we got the phone and internet hooked up, it was pretty close to school starting and orientation was in a few days, so we decided to go shopping for school supplies. We had no earthly idea what we needed so we were basically getting random stuff off the shelves. But of course! We found out at orientation we needed none of it! Everything was going to be done by these weird, mac computers. It has everything we need on it already downloaded for school. We just can't download things on it like games and stuff. Boring! Of least it has internet.
At orientation we had soooo much fun. You got to meet the teachers, the kids in your grade, get a tour of the school and have free snacks! I was positive we were going to get lost because our tour guide, my friend Svena, had only been there a year longer than we have. Plus+ that place is a total freegin maze! I can't even find my way to the bathroom without somehow walking into the gym! There are also WAY to many stairs, almost each class I have to go run up and down one of the many sets. Of least they're color coded, the red stairs, blue stairs, yellow stairs and the green stairs. But the bad part is they each have four sets of stairs on them. Confusing, huh? Least you don't have to find your way around them.
A few weeks later school started at the end of August. We got our schedules when we went to homeroom on the first day. The schedules are about as confusing as the school/maze! They run on an eight day cycle, the 4 same classes every other day and a different 4 classes the other days. They're just really long, like an hour and a half each.
After we got settled with the new school and schedule, it was time to try out for a sport. The fall sports are field-hockey, soccer, cross-country and something else I can't remember. I tried out for...guess what?...FIELD HOCKEY! But so far we've lost both games we've played. But to my defense, they were big! Are coach said they were 9th graders! I think she must have been humoring us though. But we'll win the next game, it's coming up on Thursday.
They smother you in homework though! Tons of it! All the time! I never have time to read, and I just got that new book that came out, Inkdeath, it's supposed to be the last book in a series I totally like. So sad! I'm going to try and put my pictures on the computer again so you can see all the super cool stuff in London I've taken pictures of.
Toodaloo!
Hey There! Third time today! Should probably only make one blog per day, but I have nothing better to do cuz its October Break.
Its soooooo late I think I might pass out any minute now. -sigh- I'm wrong, it's only 10:02, I need more sleep. Lots more. I just wanted to come on because guess what? I have my very first follower! Huzzah! That is sooo fun to say, try it. I was reading a book and it was threaded with the word. Weird huh?
WOW!!! I seriously just dozed off!! I was sure I had something to say after that last bit. I NEED sleep, but I seriously don't want to go to sleep. I guess I could go ahead and say what happened after we flew over here. So.... here goes.
Well since we moved over here for my mom's sake, Dad didn't have a job. And he didn't want to leave me alone so he was going to start looking for a job once I got in school. So while we were waiting we were going to try out the tourist gig. We went EVERYWHERE, to the zoo, to the London Eye, to the wax museum, the shopping centerssss, history museum, science museum, this weird musical that sucked and there was something else that I just can't remember.
Then our house was ready to move into, we were just missing a couple things. Furniture. So we got a couple fans and blow-up beds and a small, cheap, little tv. About 2-3 weeks later the furniture and boxes came. Wow! Was it a pain to get that furniture up-stairs! For a while the couch was stuck in the stair case. But somehow we managed to get it all up in one peice with the help of the very skilled movers.
After that ws all done we started on our next task of unpacking boxes (which I am sorry to say we have not accomplished yet.) and get the phone and internet hooked up. OW! Huge head ache! Need sleep. Sorry, I'll probably be back on tomorrow.
But here's a picture of Sophie after my mom gave her a hair cut today.
Hey-Me again... and Sophie too! She's my new dog! Cute huh?
Now to resume my story of my new life!
As soon as I got to school the next day I told as many people as could I was moving.
Many of them freaked, but most of them thought I was just being retarded, well... look at me now!
It was soooo sad when I had to break the news to the people at church! Cuz after you live somewhere for the first twelve years of your life, you pretty much think of people as siblings. The rest of the school year pasted with everyone asking how long I'll be gone, if I'm really going and If the Ifle Tower is located in London.
After school ended I had chuch camp. Camp pretty much had the same questions and stuff. Except, at the end I got a super awsome surprise party!!! We all danced to the funniest songs possable, like The Hokey Pokey and The Chicken Song.
Right after that we packed up and hauled butt! The plane ride was sooo FUN!! We got up in first class and ended up sitting behind the British lady and her kids who starred in The Holiday. Then on the bus that carried us from the plane to the airport we saw the red head who was really famous for her big thing on Titanic.
That's it for today! Feel free to leave a comment, just because I'd like to know if my blog is being veiwed by one of my friends in El Dorado.
Don't worry, there will be more where this comes from!
Hey! I'm making this blog so that I can talk to my buds in America better. Cuz if you know me, if I haven't memorized your e-mail address then I lost it. Sorry!
Everyone in El Dorado, Arkansas probably already knows my story, but I'm tellin' it anyway. So... here goes!
I had a great life in El Dorado! ( A small speck of a town at the very bottom of Ar. ) I had lots of friends, I knew the place like the back of my hand and it was soooo close to all my family down below us in Louisiana! But of course, something bad had to be waiting around the corner. My mom's job.
Me, my parentals and my older brother, Brandon---aged 23 at the time--- were driving back from visiting family in Louisiana. And that's when momsie decided to break the news. She turned around in her seat and... "Hun," she said, "we're moving, to London." And I was so shocked at her, I just sat their mid-bite in my candy from the gas station staring at her. Then Dad decided to make a choke out of my stunnedness and say, " Now, I hope you know, we're not going to London, Texas, we're crossing the whole water and going to London, England!" Ugh!-How I wanted to hit him right upside his big ole head!
So...now here I am, telling my story (once again) to someone.
Stay tuned, because I'll be telling my whole story, from un-packing boxes to my first day at school. ( You won't believe how fun that was! )
